NEW! ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) Training Available!

June 5, 2011

Infant Swimming Resource is the safest provider of Self-Rescue™ swimming lessons for children 6 months to 6 years of age

Going beyond traditional swim instruction, ISR teaches children how to survive in the water.

For more than 40 years, Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) has been teaching children critical Self-Rescue™ skills — giving children the competence and confidence to safely enjoy the water. ISR’s technique teaches babies from 6 months to 6 years of age how to save themselves if they were to find themselves in the water alone.  At ISR, your child’s safety is our first priority. Each lesson is uniquely tailored to your child’s needs based on comprehensive assessment and continual monitoring of your child’s health and skill attainment. Due to the fact that every child learns at his or her own pace, your child will be gently guided through each skill level.

Drownings in Natural Water Increase with Age

February 06, 2012 | Katie Smith (www.infantswim.com/blog)
The CDC reports that one of the factors that influence drowing is natual water settings. The percent of drownings in natural water such as lakes, rivers, or the ocean increases with age. When a location was known, 65% of drownings among those 15 years and older occurred in natural water settings. People of all ages should swim with a buddy!
